The new smaller No. 2 series, a light-tackle, all-machined aluminum reel built to the same high standards as their larger series reels.
The No.2 is an excellent match for many of the powerful light tackle rods available today.
The unique features are all designed to enhance the performance to an extremely high level such as our high impact, high lift capacity gearing. Cranking directly down on large fish can be done with confidence. The oscillation block has inline bearings for frictionless smooth action. Special super hard coatings are applied to all other moving internal parts.

The dual stack Pentium drag has multiple carbon fiber washers putting equal pressure, on a solid wall in the spools center, thus keeping the spool always at the correct height as the drag washers wear. This system creates a smooth and powerful drag with a wide range. The spool is waterproof off the reel as well.
Some waterproof reels can only be used for either left or right hand retrieve. With the new VISSER Reels the handle can be switched quickly for either left or right hand use. The reel is still water proof even after the handle and cover cap are removed.
Our new patent pending body design has the access cover opposite the main drive gear. This means the large drive gear cannot deflect due to screw on side covers, or covers that are fastened with small screws. Our new gear mounting is completely captured inside the body for stable and accurate power.
The modular construction allows for easy transformation of all parts. They are CNC machined from aluminum bar stock. This flexibility in the design makes future design updates simple by adding larger rotors with larger spools, and extending the foot length to accommodate new models to the VISSER Reels line up
The large capacity spool is made from CNC machined aluminum alloy The spool lip is made from 6AL-4V Titanium with super hard and slick Type 2 anodize coating. This aids in casting distance and protects the edge of the spool from damage due to nicks and deformation.
