Butterfish series are resin based lures specially developed for long distance casting even with the heavy lines. It’s both beneficial when fishing from boat or land, either way you will be able to reach further than ever before! In situations when big fish are feeding on small bait and matching the hatch is essential, you gain the ability to cast small lures with heavy tackle.
Butterfish are frequently used to catch a variety of game fish.
Butterfish 120 is ideal for aggressive action! It casts extremely well, sinks fast and wobbles on the free fall, ideal for reaching the shipwrecks and searching the reef edges. Also, medium and fast retrieve through tuna busting on the surface can produce great results.
Long sweep will produce erratic gliding action.
Twitching of the rod with slow or medium retrieve will create wide wobble with belly showing on the sides.
While sinking, it will produce strong wobbling action.
Because our lures are hand crafted with AISI 316 stainless steel and top grade epoxy resin, no two IMS Handmade lures will be 100% identical.
