BKDs are fished in both salt and fresh water in a variety of methods. Besides producing trophy catches, they are also known for their durability and action. BKD’s stay on a jig head exceptionally well. They are also fished on BKD light weighted hooks as well as hooks without weight.  They offer a hook slot for easy rigging and additional action.  Dropshotting has also proven to be a productive technique. Originally developed to catch trophy Rockfish (striped bass), they also are used for many other species.
